After being inspired by the quality of beef and special genetics available in my travels to Japan, I sought to replicate a similar quality while practicing sustainability and natural practices preferred by the U.S. market.
One of the qualities of Wagyu cattle is that they naturally produce more marbling than other breeds. Part of that marbling comes from the proprietary blend of corn, barley, and other grains we provide for over 18 months, in addition to full access to pasture grazing.
Our Wagyu beef is rated at least 2 to 3 grades above Prime, the USDA's highest rating for quality and marbling. We do not use antibiotics or growth hormones.
Cattle are born and raised on pasture in Bowerston, Ohio, and are finished for over 18 months on a proprietary blend of corn, barley, and other grains with full access to pasture grazing.
Moveable Feast Farm does not cage or finish in feed lots and believes happy, healthy, and naturally raised Wagyu leads to the best quality beef.

The universal grading standard is the “Beef Marble Score,” or BMS. This system has 13 grades of beef, ranging from 0 (no marbling) to 12 (extreme marbling).
Wagyu beef boasts a higher percentage of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids than typical beef, making it heart-healthy. Omega-3 fatty acids help all cells in your body function as they should. Omega-6 fatty acids help skin and hair growth, bone health, metabolism, and maintain the reproductive system.
